Emma & Joost
Wedding, Riversdale Lodge, Bourne End
The band were absolutely fantastic. They were punctual, professional, and adapted to requirements of the venue that we had. They also just seemed like genuinely nice guys - really easy-going and friendly. Their cover of our first dance was beautiful and we had so many friends say that the set list made them feel that they had been transported back to their early teen years. I really appreciated that the band got a little moshpit going. The next morning I had no voice left because I had been screaming along to Rage Against the Machine and Nirvana… I would highly recommend this band to anyone who is still a little emo, pop-punk rocker at heart. If you think that the bland, repetitive line-up of Mumford & Sons / Ed Sheehan / John Legend at weddings is about as appealing as a wet sock, then Freshman Year might be right band for you. Any kind of sentimental crooning would’ve made me feel like I was an actor in a low budget rom-com, but headbanging to Blink 182 made me feel like myself on my wedding day. Thanks for giving us the soundtrack that allowed us to completely let go and lose ourselves in the moment - we had so much fun! Please pass along my gratitude to the guys!
